Company: Valley Asphalt, a Jurgensen Company, produces asphalt, hot mix and warm mix products in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio.
Title/Position: Quality Control Technician
Years Working in Construction: 1 year
How Jaide Started in Construction: Jaide got her start in construction due to a family connection. Her father owns a small construction company, so construction has been part of her life for as long as she can remember. Jaide saw that Jurgensen was hiring and took the opportunity to join the industry.
What Jaide Loves Most About Her Job: “The people I work with. They’re always super helpful if I have any questions and they make work fun.”
What Does It Mean to Jaide to Be a Women in Construction? “It means I can do anything I put myself to. That being a woman doesn’t limit my career choices.”
What Career Advice Does Jaide Offer to Women Considering a Career in Construction?
