Company: Shook Construction Co., a construction company that serves clients in 13 states from its offices in Cleveland, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Dayton, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
Title/Position: Project Engineer
Years Working in Construction: 7 years
How Terri Started in the Construction Industry: “I started my career in construction through the Building Trades program at my high school. It was a class where we spent a half day every other day building a house that was sold at the end of the year. I participated in that program for my junior and senior year. That was when I realized that no matter what I did, I was going to do it in the construction industry.”
What Terri Loves Most About Her Job: “The best part about my job is learning something new every day. Every new project/activity/task is an opportunity to grow and learn something new.”
What Does It Mean to Terri to Be a Woman in the Construction Industry? “It means that I am just like everyone else on the team. I provide a different background/experience/perspective just like everyone else.”
