Ohio has more than 50 Career Technical Centers statewide serving residents in every county. These centers help Ohio high school students work toward their career while completing their high school education and adult learners start their careers sooner with a 3- to 18-month training program.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing an overview of each region’s centers. Today, we begin with three Career Technical Centers from the Northwest Region.
Penta Career Center located at 9301 Buck Rd, Perrysburg, OH 43551
Penta Career Center has served 5 Northwestern Ohio counties since 1965, helping more than 30,000 individuals become successful professionals in a range of careers, including construction. With a 98% graduation rate and 96.5% post-grade placement rate, Penta is the perfect place to learn the tools of the trade.
For high school students, Penta provides career-focused education that leads to a competitive advantage in various careers, two- or four-year colleges, and additional certification programs.
For adult learners, Penta provides post-secondary programs, including specialties in Welding as well as Builder, Contractor, and Remodeler Technology.

Millstream Career Center located at 1150 Broad Ave, Findlay, OH 45840
Millstream Career Center offers unique educational opportunities for all Ohioans.
For high school students, Millstream has specialized programs tailored to each individual’s path, whether immediately in a career or in continued education and training following high school graduation. Not only that, interested College Tech Prep students have the opportunity to become dual-enrolled, earning college credit in their program area. Construction industry hopefuls will benefit from their thorough 2-year Construction Skills program that is designed to prepare students to immediately enter the construction industry with competencies including concrete, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
But teens aren’t the only ones that can benefit from Millstream’s excellent education. For adult learners, Millstream Career Center offers superior Adult Education programs. Apollo Career Center located at 3325 Shawnee Rd, Lima, OH 45806
Apollo Career Center has been serving adult and high school students since 1976. They offer accelerated programs with part-time and full-time options for all types of students.
High school juniors and seniors with a clear vision on their career path can get a jumpstart in one of their programs. Their Construction Trades program includes Building and Renovation, Carpentry, Construction Equipment Technology, and Electrical Systems Technology.
Adult learners can take advantage of short-term programs that prepare them for the workforce sooner than traditional colleges and universities. These accelerated programs adjust with each industry to make sure graduates are well-suited for workforce demands. Their programs are affordable, conveniently close to Northwestern Ohioans’ homes, and offer real-world experience and quality education.
