What was your path to a career in construction? My drive to be an entrepreneur led me to buy in to a construction company where I am the third generation of female leadership.
What do you like most about working in construction? I am intrigued by the lifecycle of a project going from a concept to a finished structure. The work my firm does (rebar installation) is not seen by the public, but this work is important and critical to the infrastructure in our region.
This year’s theme is “Keys to the Future.” What is the key to the future of construction in Ohio? The key to the future of construction in Ohio is introducing young people to skilled trades and the many career paths in construction.
If you were to give young women (high schoolers) advice about beginning a career in My advice to a young women would be don’t be intimidated by the work and embrace the challenge, because there are so many opportunities to take advantage of in this industry.
