Technicians troubleshoot and repair general heavy equipment drive-train components, electrical and hydraulic systems as well as perform normal machine repair in a safe manner.
Aptitude and Interest
Graduation from an accredited technical school (minimum two year program) or apprenticeship, with emphasis on diesel engines or earthmoving repair.
Effective reading and writing skills, good hands and great hand-eye coordination is essential for the technician. Ability to work individually or in a team.
Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
Basic Computer skills
Perform maintenance activities on new and rebuilt/repaired engines and equipment, including remove and install components, and disassemble and assemble components.
Clean mechanical parts and components, accurately complete service reports. яндекс
Determine reusability of parts in accordance with published manufacturer reusability guidelines. Read, understand, and apply wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics
Initiate parts salvage requests.

Training
High school diploma or equivalent, preferably in an appropriate vocational program (diesel, power equipment, etc.)
High School Diploma-Desired Major: Vocational – diesel, Ag, power equipment
